Fire Safety: Non-Combustible Steel with Advanced Insulation

Our shipping container structures are constructed from Corten steel, classified as a non-combustible material (Class A1) under standards such as EN 13501-2, preventing combustion or contribution to fire spread. This material withstands extreme temperatures and meets ISO 1496 requirements for at least 10 minutes of exposure to open flames before deformation. For internal insulation, we use self-extinguishing polyurethane materials compliant with ASTM E84 or UL 94 standards for limited flame spread and low smoke production, preventing ignition and fire propagation. To enhance fire resistance, we optionally integrate fire-rated gypsum boards and systems for smoke detection and fire sprinklers in accordance with NFPA 101 standards.

Earthquake Safety: The Strength of a Unified Structure

Our construction method involves welding container modules into a single, cohesive structure. Unlike buildings assembled from numerous disparate components, this “monolithic” design is key to seismic resilience. During an earthquake, this unified frame is engineered to flex and move as a whole, distributing stresses more effectively and providing resistance to lateral shear forces in compliance with the International Building Code (IBC) and Uniform Building Code (UBC).

This approach helps preserve the structural integrity of your home, delivering a robust and secure environment when it matters most. Each structure is anchored to a reinforced foundation using high-strength bolts or welding, preventing overturning or sliding. Designed for high-seismic zones, our homes have demonstrated durability in real-world conditions.

Flood Protection: Waterproof Coatings and Elevated Foundations

The entire subfloor of each container is sealed with a professional-grade waterproof coating. This creates a continuous, impenetrable barrier that protects the interior from rising damp and potential floodwater, preserving your home’s integrity and ensuring a healthier living environment.

Openings for doors, windows, and utilities are hermetically sealed with waterproof materials, and integrated drainage systems efficiently channel water away, adhering to flood protection provisions. This design minimizes flood-related damage, with the steel structure exhibiting superior resistance to rot and warping compared to traditional materials.

Additionally, the proactive placement of the unit on elevated foundations, piers, or concrete slabs further mitigates the risk of water ingress due to significant water accumulation. Routine maintenance of seals and coatings ensures long-term performance, making our structures ideal for flood-prone areas.

Wind Resistance: Aerodynamic Anchoring for High-Wind Protection

Our containers feature a distinctive corrugated steel profile, aerodynamically designed to deflect wind loads. Each unit is individually anchored to a sturdy foundation via welding or high-strength bolts, enabling resistance to wind speeds of up to 290 km/h in compliance with ASCE 7 standards. This secure connection is critical, as it prevents uplift and shifting, ensuring your home remains firmly in place and secure, even during severe storms.
